Q: Does PlayPro Interactive Guitar & Bass run on Windows XP?
A:
Yes. We have tested XP with our products, and a variety of popular soundcard, and have not encountered any problems.
Q: Can I use PlayPro with an Acoustic Guitar (without a pickup)?
A:
PlayPro Interactive Guitar will work without connecting your guitar to the computer. You will still be able to play along with a live band for every example or exercise and be able to use the MIDI Machine's practice functions (pitch and tempo changes). You can see the different views on the virtual fretboard and watch the 'what you see is what you play videos'. However, to get the full use of all the features in our software you need to use a guitar with some sort of pickup. Use either an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar with a pickup.
Q: How do I connect my instrument to my computer?
A:
Plug one end of the cable into your instrument as normal. Plug the other end into the jack adapter provided. Take this end to the back to your computer's box and look for the sound card - this should be an area with lots of places (probably about three or four) to plug in something the size of the jack adapter (1/8 inch). Look for the hole labeled by "mic" or with a small icon of a microphone as this is where you need to plug into.
