PlayPro Software, Inc. was incorporated in the United States in June of 1997 as a music software development and publishing company after seven years of research and development in Australia.

PlayPro has developed world?s first technologies, creating the first genuinely interactive CD-ROM music program for guitar & bass. No modifications or special hardware required—just plug in and play.

Our current titles are complete learning, practicing, jamming, and recording programs—with real time effects. These CD-ROM's incorporate new and innovative technology. By writing our own code we have created true multimedia programs as opposed to multimedia presentations.

Our music programs include video, audio, animation, a digital chromatic tuner, a metronome, and the ability to monitor a student's progress without the need for any special hardware or ‘black box interface’. We call this remarkable breakthrough in technology Comp-U-Pare. Our new technology enables players of any caliber to play along with a ‘band’, record and then have their playing compared (analyzed) to the original examples and receive graded advice and recommendations. This form of feedback is normally only available with expensive and complicated MIDI based instruments.
